MESSAGE FROM THE CEO
It has been 55 years of Uganda as a Republic and today we are on the cusp of one of the Nation´s most exciting eras. Approximately 6.5 billion barrels of oil have been discovered in the Albertine Rift Valley Region (Western Ugan-da), making this one of Africa’s biggest onshore discoveries in the last 20 years. Uganda is about to be ranked in the mid-sized category of global oil producers. I dare say we are about to hear a lot about the ‘Ugandan Dream’. It is difficult not to feel a level of exhilaration when considering these facts.
At PK Oilfield Services (PKOS), a Ugandan Company by every definition, we are excited to be amongst the fore-runners within this new industry. Despite our Company´s infancy and that of the local Oil & Gas Industry, we boast a wealth of experience in the Oil & Gas Sector within the region. But more than experience, we pride ourselves on the Organisation´s passion for contributing to the development of our Country.
Along with striving to deliver excellence to our Clients we are meticulous about two major aspects: maximisation of the Local Content experience for the Client and adherence to global standards for Health & Safety for all our stakeholders.
We honour that the Oil & Gas belongs to Uganda, hence Ugandans should derive optimum benefit; we therefore always look inward before we search beyond our borders when providing Client solutions.
Health & Safety is key to our operations and this is one area which is borderless; we rely on input from across the globe and from those who have gone before us in this Industry. We are fastidious about compliance to global standards in HSE by all our stakeholders.
Whilst we continually strive to exceed our Clients’ expectations, we guarantee our commitment & effort in Service Delivery.
I acknowledge the immense effort by the Ugandan Authorities in supporting local companies such as PKOS, and in the same breath I encourage Ugandans to join-in on building the Ugandan Dream.
